As we are approaching the end of 2021, we decided to run a small poll amongst our valued clients to get an idea of the platform features and offerings that appealed to them the most throughout this busy year.
The year began with a lot of remote global payroll delivery as most countries were still dealing with the fallout from the global pandemic. Global payroll professionals continued to make great sacrifices and diligent efforts to ensure international employees around the world got paid accurately on time every pay period.

The Dashboard
Always a popular favorite among our clients, they simply love the fact that they can get an instant snapshot of everything that has been completed or yet to be completed. An overview of their pay run status is how many like to start their day- they know instantly what to focus on, what can wait and what needs to be prioritized.
From the helpful task progress tracker to the instant employee headcount visibility or the at a glance view of overdue tasks on countries, payrolls and due dates- they really appreciate the sense of visibility and control our digital dashboard provides them with on a daily basis.

System Alerts
Who doesn't need a helpful reminder from time to time? Global payroll is a busy environment and many of our platform users have multiple pay runs to deliver across different countries and even continents. Automated system alerts advising them of actions they need to take or updated information on activity from other platform users is welcome assistance and helps them plan their day and prioritize tasks.
The workflow screens list, in consecutive order, all the steps and actions to be completed in a payroll processing calendar. Alerts get sent to you (and other action owners) when a task is completed/delayed or ready for review. Everybody knows what needs to be done and it helps things run smoothly.
The GL Report
The general ledger report is a vital report for the financial accounting team and our platform users have told us just how grateful their finance team counterparts are with our ability to generate and deliver this report in one working day after a pay run ends.
In many cases, the finance team is usually waiting up to four working days for this report-and the truth is, they cannot get this report soon enough. It is a major month-end data point for the finance team who require it to put together mandatory financial accounting deliverables.
When our platform users can generate and deliver the general ledger report in a single working day, it is a great example of cross department collaboration-finance, global payroll and human resources will always be interlinked so two-way data sharing will always be needed. Employee self service
Put simply, our platform users view the employee self-service portal as a gift! Previously, a huge amount of their time was taken up delivering individual payslip information and payroll data to global employees.

Time consuming, manual and mundane-these laborious administrative tasks often interfere with their ability to quickly process priority payroll tasks. This is an administrative burden that all global payroll professionals can do without, so a digital platform that allows a geo dispersed global workforce to log into their own self-service portal and access their payslips and employee information anytime they want from any location is a major help.

New P&T element creations
Launch on the platform in 2021, it proved to be a huge hit with our clients! The ability to use self-serve to create new P&T elements via the Pay & Taxes tab in the platform helped users to improve their payrun turnaround times and stay in control of their deliverables.

Element creation is an important part of any payrun cycle, especially when you are onboarding new countries or different types of employees, as there may be a requirement to create new P&T elements right at the start of the payrun process. Being able to do this themselves in a fast and efficient manner was something that all our users appreciated.
