National Payroll Week takes place September 3rd to 7th 2018. The week is dedicated to the celebration of wage earners and the payroll professionals who pay them. Together through payroll withholding, employees and payroll professionals contribute, collect, report and deposit 70% of the U.S. Treasury’s annual revenue totaling $2.4 trillion per year. National Payroll Week was founded in 1996 and coincides with Labor Day. It celebrates the significance of “an honest days work for an honest days pay”. NPW strives to assist America’s workers to understand more about their paychecks, the tax system and payroll benefits. Fundamentally NPW celebrates payroll professionals and the important role they play to ensure that American workers are paid correctly and on time. During NPW APA members host a number presentations to schools and participate in community service initiatives.
