On-demand pay gap data for EU Pay Transparency Directive 2026 compliance
By June 2026, every EU member state will have transposed the EU Pay Transparency Directive (Directive (EU) 2023/970) into national law.
Employers of a certain size must collect, analyze, and report detailed pay data to demonstrate compliance with equal pay standards.
Payslip's reporting and analytics module gives HR and payroll teams the unified, accurate data they need to run pay gap analysis and regression, and to prepare regulator-ready reports with confidence.
What the Directive Requires
If an unexplained pay gap of 5% or more remains after six months, employers must conduct a joint pay assessment with worker representatives.
Reporting frequency depends on company size:
• 250+ employees: annually from June 2027
• 150–249 employees: every 3 years
• 100–149 employees: every 3 years (first due in June 2031)
Pay Transparency Reporting Categories
Employers must publish or submit pay data across the following categories:
Gender pay gap
the average pay difference between men and women
Gender pay gap in variable pay
bonuses, commissions, or allowances
Median gender pay gap
midpoint difference between male and female pay
Median gender pay gap in variable pay
Proportion of men and women receiving variable pay
Proportion of men and women by pay quartile
Proportion of men and women by pay quartile
Pay gap by job category
same or equal-value roles, split by base and variable pay
Why Compliance Is Complex
Delivering these reports is not simply an HR responsibility. It requires full visibility into payroll data from every country, vendor, and pay component.
Most organizations face challenges with fragmented systems, inconsistent data formats, and limited analytics tools.
Manual reporting takes time and carries risk. Payslip's deep reporting and analytics capabilities simplifies this challenge.
