Delivering for Clients

As Head of Product, I am responsible for the final delivery of a fully functional platform product experience for our clients. This responsibility requires a lot of commitment but with the help of a great team around me, it is a role that I really enjoy.

Our client needs are specific and varied and they can change during the process, so I find myself in regular contact with both the client and the implementation team responsible for delivering solutions to the client. I help the client to understand how the features on our platform can help them solve the specific challenges they are facing with their global payroll process. The solution to these challenges usually already exists in our current features or if it is something new, my role is to scope the requirements and assess the value such a feature can bring to the current client as well as any future clients.

My job is to understand what the client wants and suggest ideas that will help move the process along and ensure that they are on-boarded onto our platform in a fast and efficient manner.


I am in regular contact with team members across Bulgaria, Ireland, and the U.S. as well as our globally based Implementations, Operations and Development teams. I like to challenge myself and my colleagues to get out of our comfort zone, and look for better, smarter and more creative ways to provide valuable solutions for our clients. This all makes for a busy working week, but I enjoy a hectic schedule and collaborating with a global team is one of the rewarding parts of this job.

Product testing and approval

I work on various projects that deliver feature enhancements for our operational activities. Areas of focus include automating workflows, standardizing processes and data, developing reporting tools and system integrations. These are some of the solutions we deliver to our clients. I examine current logic fixes, test features, track project progress and deliver final approval for go live after a period of testing in the non-live environment.

Product releases help to keep our clients informed and I work on the documentation that outlines new features and system releases. These documents help our clients to understand the various improvements that our projects deliver to the overall platform.

I have regular meetings with our CEO and CCO where we monitor progress on key initiatives such as product logics, project progress, system features, UX and product functionality.

From start to finish

One of the things I like the most about my job is that I get to be involved in a process right from the start and see it through to completion. I can start interacting with a client even at the pre-sales point of conversation where I am available to answer any specific queries they may have about our product. I then collaborate with the client and others to deliver automation & integration technology solutions that meet their needs.

We move from ideas to making decisions about UX and logic, right through to building and development stage. This is followed by testing, go-live and then showing the client a demo. During this process I strive to be open- minded, flexible, and proactive- I am always looking at the bigger picture and thinking outside of the box for the best ways to deliver technology solutions to our clients. It is always very satisfying when we reach a conclusion and the client tells me how pleased they are with the way in which our product helps them see, control and manage their global payroll in a way that makes their job easier.

Since its launch, Payslip has been taking proactive steps to improve our platform. We develop our own ideas, listen to what clients are asking for and try to anticipate what new, useful global payroll features will be required in the future. We are all very passionate about what we do, and the feedback from our clients is that our product has provided them with much more control over their payroll process. I have been at the company right from the start and I am proud of the way the Payslip team and our product have made a real difference in the global payroll market.

Using Payslip, we can manage all our payrolls across nine in-country vendors on one platform. When the global Covid-19 pandemic arose, it was not an issue from a payroll perspective, and critically getting everyone paid. The Payslip platform enabled continuity for our international payroll service including the fast and seamless implementation of the Payslip Employment Self Service during this time.
