Payslip CEO wins GPMI Global Vision Award

The winner of the Global Payroll Management Institute’s (GPMI) Global Vision Award winner for 2020 is Fidelma McGuirk, founder and CEO of Payslip.
The Global Vision Award recognizes global payroll industry leaders having a positive impact on global payroll development in their home country and beyond. It focuses on leaders and visionaries in the field of global payroll who introduce positive initiatives and are passionate advocates of the people in the industry.
McGuirk, a popular winner operating out of Ireland but with strong ties to the US market, has over 20 years of experience scaling international business and leading multi-national teams, Global HR& IT functions. McGuirk identified the need for an automation and integration technology solution to help multinational employers standardize and centrally manage their global payroll. Founding Payslip in Westport, Ireland in 2016, it now has teams and clients across the US & EU markets. McGuirk is also president of the first ever GPMI chapter in Europe, which is located in Dublin and has grown to over 95 members since the first meeting took place in 2018.
McGuirk was generous in her praise of the GPMI in her acceptance speech, stating that it “recognized for the first time that global payroll is a separate profession with specific challenges that are met by additional skillsets by fantastic leaders across the world.”
This prestigious award is further recognition of McGuirk’s commitment to improving processes in global payroll operations and ensuring the industry benefits from technology developments like those in operation on the Payslip platform which help standardize global payroll.
She states “It is absolutely possible to have standardized global payroll in a way that has a positive user experience for global payroll people centrally or decentrally. “
